We've implemented a point standings system for the final three tournaments of the 2004 King/Queen season. If you've played indoor USAV before, you'll be familiar with the concept. Basically, we'll be awarding points to players based on their performance at each tournament.
The male and female players with the most points at the end of the year will be crowned 2004's King and Queen of the Triangle. A complete listing of player point standings will also be available on the website following each tournament.
Points will be awarded for both the gold and silver levels of competition. Players moving between divisions will have their points from previous tournaments either halved (if moving up from silver to gold) or doubled (if moving down from gold to silver).
The following table details how points will be awarded to players for each tournament:

| 5 Points |
Awarded for registering for and playing in the tournament |
| 1 Point |
Awarded for finishing 3rd in a 4 team pool |
| 2 Points |
Awarded for finishing 3rd in a 5+ team pool |
| 3 Points |
Awarded for finishing 2nd in pool play |
| 5 Points |
Awarded for finishing 1st in pool play |
| 1 Point |
Awarded for each playoff match won (or playoff bye) |
| 2 Points |
Awarded to those who tie for 3rd place overall |
| 3 Points |
Awarded to 2nd overall finishers (Prince/Princess) |
| 5 Points |
Awarded to tournament winners (King/Queen) |
So, for example, if a player finishes third overall in a tournament after finishing 1st in a 4-team pool and advancing to the third round of playoffs, that player would receive:
14 total points, or 5 points (for playing) + 5 points (for 1st in pool) + 2 points (for two playoff match wins) + 2 points (for finishing third overall).
