vh1vball.com is pleased to announce the inaugural Triangle Beach Volleyball Series in 2006. Between April and September, at least 4 events will be devoted to traditional, AVP-style beach volleyball with 3 divisions (Open, A and B) and 3 formats (Men’s, Women’s and Coed) planned. This will all been done with cooperation and support from the Town of Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department, Raleigh Parks and Recreation, and Carolina Region/USAV.

Both Cary and Raleigh Parks and Recreation departments have offered sponsorship roles in allowing us to hold events at sites including Green Hope Elementary School Park and North Cary Park in Cary, and Jaycee Park in Raleigh. Additionally, Carolina Region/USAV has been so kind to offer an initial $5000 grant to help improve existing beach volleyball facilities in Cary, North Carolina.

Check out the 2006 season preview sidebar for more information. Each event will be detailed through vh1vball’s new monthly newsletter as the event time approaches. As with all other vh1vball.com volleyball tournaments, online registration will be available and a point system will be in place where Triangle beach volleyball Players of the Year accolades will be on the line.

Please note that juniors are not limited to playing in the juniors-only events. Juniors are welcome and even encouraged to play in our sand doubles tournaments and grass King/Queen and Reverse Co-ed tournaments.
